Scott Young is the President and Principal Consultant at Highpoint CFO. He is a CPA and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) with over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting at industry-leading companies.

The Moorings (now part of TUI Group) as they transitioned from a family-owned business to managing the demands of private equity owners.
Marriott Vacation Club, after they purchased a privately-owned timeshare company and grew it to over $750 million in revenues.
Ryland Homes (now Lennar), as they met the demands of the rapidly growing homebuilding market and their subsequent adjustments during the decline.
Jagged Peak as they reorganized and prepared for their ultimate sale to an investor.
Education
Scott Young received his Master’s degree in Accounting from Florida State University in 1992. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Florida, and in 2016, he earned the Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) credential offered by the AM&AA in collaboration with Pepperdine University.

The Tampa Bay Dealmaker Forum celebrates the heart of Tampa Bay's thriving economy—the middle-market deal community. Join us in honoring the M&A professionals who drive economic and capital formation. This premier event will feature the presentation of three deals: M&A, PE or VC, and Debt. The deals will be presented by deal team members and/or the UT Finance Students who identified, researched, and reported on them. This is an excellent networking opportunity to meet dealmakers from the Tampa Bay area and learn about M&A.
